Navox Corporation is a technology company specializing in audio-band/in-band modems for Telematics and location enabled wireless products or any wireless product needing a real-time low-bandwidth data channel (telemetry, alarms, etc.).
Navox was incorporated in 1996, and gained experience in the vehicle Telematics market by developing one of the first complete vehicle concierge systems. This system, consisting of a fully integrated vehicular module, GPS receiver, Simultaneous Voice and Data modem, and full-service Call center, was completed in 1997. The system was deployed in several pilot applications, displayed at various trade shows, and attracted much attention in the emerging vehicle Telematics market.
The primary "differentiator" of the Navox system was the use of Simultaneous Voice and Data (SVD) technology, and in 1998, Navox refocused efforts on adapting its unique in-band modem technologies to digital cellular, and developing high-speed modems for digital and analog cellular applications.
Navox products are the result of comprehensive market research and sound engineering. Navox core modem technology is protected by 3 patents.
Navox engineering program includes theoretical analysis, modeling, simulation, and live network testing. Also, Navox has been working closely with vocoders developers to make sure its fundamental technologies were on a solid foundation.
Navox is a subsidiary of Flextronics (www.flextronics.com), one of the world’s largest EMS company and a supplier of completely integrated electronic solutions to Telecom, Automotive, Industrial, Medical, Aerospace and Defense markets.
