The Navox Audio Band Voice and Data Products allow voice and data to be transmitted between a digital or analog cellular handset or transceiver and a PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) based call center.
The key advantage of the Navox products is that data can be transmitted between the mobile and the base without regard to the cellular technology being used. As a result, Telematics, fleet tracking, or asset management providers can confidently deploy systems without the concern of whether a specific type (AMPS/CDMA/TDMA/GSM) of cellular technology will be available in their service area, or without having to commit to specific data services.(1)

The Navox Audio Band Voice and Data Products have all been specifically designed for data and voice transmission over the signal impairments caused by both wireless and wireline paths. Custom designed data signals and modulation techniques, detection methods, and error correction, provide the highest signaling reliability in the industry. In addition, these products can provide automated link maintenance functions critical for wireless/wireline calls.

(1) At this point, except for SVD over CDMA/EVRC (product in development), NAVOX's HS-900 and SVD modems work transparently with all cellular systems, analog or digital. NAVOX 2400 bps modem was designed specifically for an analog environment; it can be used in conjunction with the other data modes.
